What to say?

It seems that I still have a lot to learn about patience and perseverance.  This week has been bad news after bad news on the adoption front.  I prayerfully hang onto hope that we will be able to add to our family a brother or sister who will share a common heritage with Bella.

So I just deleted the rest of my post.  Maybe over a cup of coffee we can solve the problems of the world.  At this point I carefully edit my thoughts as not to get myself into trouble.

I'll meet you for coffee to talk about all this! Anytime.... But I guess we will have to settle for phone yakking most of the time instead.... Sigh

Jen~ I've followed your blog for a while, but have never commented. Today, I will comment and tell you that I am praying for families like you who are stuck in this quagmire. There are no words, really, just prayers, that our God will move the mountains. We brought our daughter home from Ethiopia last January and had started to pray about another adoption. This news is a kick in the stomach to so many.

Know that lots of people are praying for some good news out of Ethiopia for the children there and for the families here!

Oh my word, what on earth would I do without you???? So thankful the Lord saw fit to take on 2 journies together. Excited to SEE His purposes revealed to each of us on this crazy road called adoption.

The occurrence of unethical adoptions, the prospect of children truly in need of homes languishing in orphanages, and people such as yourself waiting inordinate amounts of time to expand their families...it's heart breaking from every angle. Hoping and praying that there's an answer other than the one that has been floating around out there this week...XO

thinking of you...and of everyone really. i am so hopeful that somehow ethics and adoption can merge, as i know that is what most all of us want!

oh my heart is so heavy. trying not to wallow in worry but instead pray pray pray. it is hard though, to have bad news upon bad news. like you i have not known what to say, so have posted nothing. soon, perhaps...

i hurt for all the children there who could potentially be affected, and like you hope and pray that the little girl we are already in love with might come home sooner rather than later.

I am not up on all going on in the adoption world right now, but from the comments, I assume there are now problems with Ethiopian adoptions. I had heard that was coming, but don't know if it's the same thing going on. I am very familiar with the pain of delays in adoptions, but thankfully, ours occurred before shutdowns (Guatemala). I pray the Lord gives you answers and comforts your hearts.
