Week Eight ended last week. The New Year. Two weeks of vacation ended today. We had a week filled with snow, movies, books, games, and family time. The only thing that would have made the week better was if Little M was here.
Jessica from Gladney is helping us to figure out what we need to do to "lift" the infant requirement. Maybe, nothing because we are already approved for a sibling group up to 4. We are definitely lifting it, though, paperwork or not. The irony is that we could still end up with an infant. Just when I think that I know what our family will look like, I get a reminder that I am not in charge. God has a wonderful sense of humor. As we pass the time, the excitement is definitely building.

You will definitely get exactly what He intends! :) I can't wait to see.
Cool! That is exciting! So your even thinking about an OLDER child?! That's cool. Changing it won't hold you up any, will it? I know they have (or so I've been told) lots of kids 2-5 that need adopted.
My two week break ended today too. It was so nice though!
Thats cool! I would love to travel together! That would be fun! I didn't figure you were doing it to be faster :) just doing what seems best for a child and your family! I was just hoping that it wouldn't be slower. That would be a fun age range!
Oh yay! I'm so excited!!! We had very little extra paperwork to do for WHFC! The homestudy needed to be ammended which they did the same day I spoke with them!! And we had to do an online seminar about "older children". Which took all of an hour!
I cannot wait to see things unfold for your family!
So glad you are still moving in the direction of an older child. Our girls are wonderful and make us laugh!! Of course, a baby would be nice too! I'll keep watching to see what happens!
Still no news for us...but it should be coming any day!! Praying you guys hear something soon too!! How exciting about the chance of older children now!! That is great news, kristi
Thanks Jen!! I DO love living close enough to hang with my sisters any time I want...it is very nice. I hope all my kiddos grow up and stay close by. Kristi
I just wanted to chime in and let you know that we felt exactly the same..... a baby would've been wonderful but we have been able to parent babies three times and the big need was for older children. So we were approved for up to three siblings ages 0-8 and fully expected two or three older children. However, we were so blessed to find out at our referral that we got BOTH! 11 months old and 7 1/2 years!
Blessings,
Kristy
